According to the Help Guide:
"to Subscribe to a Notification: In the Operations console, click Tools, and
then click My Subscriptions. "

When I select the Tools (between action and help) all I see is - "advanced
searc"; "search" and "Connect"

What am I missing here?

Go to the Administration page and click on Subscriptions under
Notifications. Right click and you can create a new subscription.

Not sure what that guide is talking about.
