I get the error message "The specified Management Pack required MOM Server
version '05.0.2911.0000' on MOM 2005 Server, while trying to install
Management Pack W2K8 Application Server, W2K8 GP and W2K8 Operating System.

What could be the cause?

Thanks

HI Topokin,
Looks like before importing MP (W2K8 Application Server, W2K8 GP and W2K8
Operating System.) you need to have Mom 2005 server min version
'05.0.2911.0000' installed because import of MP(W2K8 Application Server,
W2K8 GP and W2K8 Operating System.)Depends on Mom 2005 server MP.
YOu can check what MOM 2005 server MP is currently installed through UI(From
Admin -> ManagementPack).

Thanks for the response. Checking MOM 2005 Server MP indicated that I even
have a newer version (05.0.3100.0000) than what is required.

What can I then do to resolve this?

Regards.

After deeply looking into the configuration again, I observed that one of the
Management Server actually indicate an older version. I do not know how that
could be possible as all were installed and patched the same time. The
MgtServer which even indicated older version is the first installed MgtServer
and has more functions (Web console) as the others.

Changing the version number directly in the computer table seems to resolve
the problem. I was able to install the MgtPack.

Cheeers,
