Anyone ever have intermittent failure of the SCOM SMTP alert channel? I have
had this happen twice in the past 3 months now and both times lead to a full
weekend of no alerts.

When I restart the health service or roll the resources to another cluster
node, emailing returns and the old alerts go out. How can I troubleshoot the
SMTP connectivity? I don't see any errors in the log around the time that
emailing stopped, but I don't have the OpsMgr log back that far.

We are running R2 on 64-bit 2003 Enterprise servers.

I am experiencing the same issue, the same fix works for me. The only
difference I see is we are running W2K3x64 Standard and not Enterprise.
