Trying to install a new Web Console Server on Windows 2008 R2 Server. I used
the SCOM 2007 R2 distribution files. All installed ok with no errors. When
the setup finished, it launched the Web Console with no problem. I closed it
and now I can't get into what so ever from anywhere. It prompts me for
username and password and it won't accept anything. After a third attempt to
log in, I receive a "You do not have permission to view this directory or
page." error. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Here are the steps you need to follow for this to work:

"How to enable “Integrated Windows Authentication” Kerberos on the OpsMgr
2007 R2 Web Console on Windows Server 2008:"

If your Operations Manager web console role is installed on one of the
Management Server (MS) and not the RMS server, you will have to perform the
following steps to enable “Integrated Windows Authentication” Kerberos to
access the Web Console.

Steps 1: When you try to access the Ops Web Console you will be prompted for
User ID/Pass window.

You need to enable delegation on (MS Server) running the Ops Web Console
role. You do that on the computer object in AD by enabling the “Trust this
computer for delegation” option. Search your server in AD using “Find users
and computer” search option, once you find your server right click the object
and click properties, click the “Delegation” tab and select the “Trust this
computer for delegation to any service (Kerberos only) option.

(Note: The reason we need to make this change at the computer level because
the IIS APP pool service account is running as Network Services)

Once this is done, check your browser (IE) settings (Tools -> Internet
Options -> Advanced -> Security section) make sure the “Enable Integrated
Windows Authentication” option is selected. If not checked already, check
this option and restart your browser session (remember to close all open
browser windows once the change is made and reopen)
